Quilt Club - Stories of Oregon Towns and Founders 6
In our sixth session of Towns and Founders Quilt Club, we are continuing our focus on the towns and founders within the state of Oregon. Grandma Rachel will guide you through the fascinating history of these towns, how they got their names, their early history, and more. You'll receive quilt block patterns, an informational newsletter and other entertaining handouts. After each session, there is a fabulous FREE lunch of soup, salad and dessert. Start at any time! Everyone was a beginner at one time or another! And what better way to learn the absolute basics of quilt making than with Aunt Cheryl. With over 20 years of quilting experience, she's seen it, sewn it, ripped it out and sewn it over again! Taking you step-by-step (and patiently) through a variety of simple quilt blocks, Cheryl will teach you accurate measuring, cutting and sewing methods, working with you one-on-one until you gain the skills and confidence that you need to be a confident beginner. Once your quilt blocks are constructed, you'll learn how to add sashing and borders to create your very own quilt top. Speak with Cheryl to get started at any time! Class - Basic Clothing Construction
Choose any pattern you want to make. Mare will show you how easy it is to make clothing for yourself. You'll learn the basics of clothing construction, as well as how to customize the pattern to suit your own unique personality. If you've ever wanted to learn how to sew clothing, this is your class. Class - Batik Butterflies Block of the Month
Using a variety of applique methods, Cheryl will guide you through the creation of a different butterfly block each month using our popular Batik Butterflies book. Class - Duffel Bag Construction
In this three-day class, you will be constructing the "Get Out of Town" Duffel Bag. Rhonda Miller and Cheryl Libby will guide you through completion of this bag which can carry everything you need for a weekend trip--and fits easily in an airplane's overhead bin or forward seat. Class - Farm Girl Vintage 2 Sew Along
Join us for a fun sew along creating blocks from the book Farm Girl Vintage 2 by Lori Holt. Participates will have an opportunity to sew with friends, swap fabric wit one another, brain storm new ideas for blocks, and in general have a fabulous time. 10:00 am - 4:00 pm; Thursdays, Jan. 23; Feb. 20; Mar. 26 & April 23.

Class - Featherweight 221 Maintenance
A few hours with Cheryl and you'll learn how to keep your Featherweight 221 sewing machine running for years to come. Cheryl will provide complete instructions on lubrication, cleaning and tension adjustment. If you own a featherweight, this is a must-take class! A small supply kit and illustrations are included with the price of the class. You must have a Featherweight 221 in good working order to attend class.
