Grandma's Attic hosts a wide variety of classes, from those for the novice up through advanced level material. Taught by well-qualified teachers, you will develop new skills, learn to use up-to-date equipment, and participate in class discussions.

Class - Murder Mystery Mini Retreat
Early morning, on the pirate ship The Sweet Revenge, someone screams "The Captain is dead!" The ships bell begin ringing for Captain Bloodheart who has been found slain in his cabin. You will play one of ten cut-throat crew members who grapple with the mystery behind the captain's murder and the whereabouts of his buried treasure. Come in costume, sew a mystery quilt, eat a 5-course meal, solve a murder and find a buried treasure! Cheryl Libby, Instructor. Two sessions available. (Sign up early as class is limited to 10 per evening and fills up fast!) 6:00 pm - Midnight. Pattern is included in class fee.

Class - Open Sew
Come sew with Cheryl! For intermediate to advanced skill level, when you're looking for good company and a little assistance with projects you are working on. Cheryl will be in the classroom to offer assistance on many different types of projects, including sewing, quilting and embroidery. $5 per class you attend. Every Monday, September 10 through December 17. Every Wednesday, September 5 through December 26; 10:00 am--4:00 pm., plus Evening Open Sew Class, Thursdays, September 20, October 18, November 15 and December 30, 4:00-9:00 pm.

Class - Sew Fun Upcycle Challenge Class
You're going to love participating in this fun project! On Friday, you will go shopping at a local recycle type store. Once you're there, you look for a textile project that you can improve upon with your own creative talent and skills. You'll plan out what you want to do with your new found treasure and then Saturday you'll spend the day sewing up a project you'll be proud to display, wear, or give away--your choice of project. Class - Simple Stitches Embroidery
Embroidery is fun and relaxing! Sit and stitch with Cheryl Libby as she teaches you how to transfer a pattern and takes you through basic embroidery stitches. Suitable for all skill levels, you can be successful even if you've never threaded a needle. In the afternoon you'll begin making a gorgeous embroidery sampler. Class - Too Many Trees
From the Book Here Comes Winter, Cheryl will show you just how much fun this is to make this beautiful applique quilt. Embroidery Club - Machine Embroidery with Alice
If you love free motion embroidery, you will love the opportunity to sew with Embroidery Artist Alice Morris each month. Her Free Motion Machine Embroidery Club explores embroidery techniques. Alice helps you build your skills and the camaraderie cannot be beat! Note: Free Motion Machine Embroidery is a prerequisite for joining this club. Alice Morris, Instructor.
